Ireland is fast becoming much like the US, where obesity, heart problems and diabetes are rampant among its residents. Especially in Dublin, where according to a survey in 2000, over 20% of Dublin men and 13% of Dublin women were found to be obese. This is an alarming increase from the 1990 figure of just 8% obesity rate of Dublin men and 13% of Dublin women. This is a reflection of how inactive people in Dublin has become. Dubliners are eating more and more, but are exercising less and less. Dubliners need to be healthier, by eating right and exercising. It doesn’t hurt to go to the gym once in a while
