gmo1.jpgScientists estimate that the effects of such foods will only be felt after several generations due to the long time they take to manifest changes in human physiology. Most of them are discharged and treated as waste by the body but newer products that work on the cellular level are absorbed by the body as their animal counterparts. To be safe, try to avoid such foods for till there is enough research to prove their benefits/harmful effects on humans. Try to stick to organic products when available and demand your local store to show and include in packaging the proper warning labels if possible. The threat might be greater in developing countries who worry more about feeding the public than food quality so be on the lookout when going on vacation for such foods.
