Laxative abuse tends to empty the contents of the stomach so much so there is risk of ulcers and other complications due to the gastric juices having nothing to digest, turning onto the stomach itself. Diuretics also have untoward effects on the body that if too much is abused, hormonal imbalances and other problems may arise that can even be life threatening. The accumulation of too much drugs in the bloodstream, tissues and organs cannot only impair their function but also cause total organ failure and shortly after a painful death.
